Chillin' With Chels

Our computer is defective. It only works when I’m within ten yards of Coach. Yes, I am indeed sitting outside his room in the Ramada At The Beach.

Washington D.C. was really sweet. It was cold, but all the war memorials looked beautiful at night. I really like Thomas Jefferson, and the Korean War. (Love you Papa!) But the best thing was probably the Newseum, which you’ll never guess, is a museum completely dedicated to news. The pulitzer photos were amazing, some making me want to cry, as well as the 9/11 exhibit. I finally found a present for my Dad there, a book about Lincoln’s assassination, which I will probably end up swiping. The Holocaust Museum was good too, but very sad obviously. After all that, we walked around our nation’s capital so much, my feet were cramping.

To continue, we are now in Virginia Beach, home to some of my kin. I’ve never been here in the winter time. It’s weird to walk around all the tourist areas of ocean front, with hardly anyone else there but our group, like it’s a ghost town or something. We had a delicious and painfully expensive dinner at Captain George’s, all-you-can-eat seafood buffet. I must say, I’m not a fan of gratuity.

Anyway, I better hand the Mac over to my dear Lindsey now. Good night and good luck!
