So Long Cali…
I have officially been to California. I have officially seen a celebrity. I have officially put my hands in the same place as Tom Hanks.
We of HTV (plus some ornery sophomores) attended the delightful, fun-filled, and completely unbiased Student Television Network Convention in Anaheim. It really was a blast, and I’m thrilled that I got to go. I loved touring parts of L.A., seeing places I’ve only ever seen on T.V. By the way, my hands are the exact size of Julie Andrews. Uh huh.
I even liked working on the PSA with Lindsey and Kaitlynn, the only time we actually had to work the whole trip. It was about cyberbullying. Enough said.
Disneyland was magical; we got to go right after we found out we didn’t win the Excellence Award. Space Mountain and the Indiana Jones were the best.
The rest of the trip we were dining at over-priced but delicious restaurants, and shopping at cool but over-priced souvenir shops. Oh, I did get boots for $21.
So at last, the HTV trip is over. The only thing left to look forward to for dear Hillcrest High School is snatching that diploma on May 18th. Forty three school days left. Check.
